Halloween Time

Tom has a lot of fun carving the pumpkins for
the kids. He has them design the face and then
he does the carving....safe and effective.

I get the pleasure of cleaning out the pumpkins
(althought Teagan loves cleaning them out too!)
Caleb wants nothing to do with the cleaning
the pumpkins (unless he can use a spoon) and
Savannah just sits and enjoys the whole experience.

I went to Teagan's Halloween party at
school today and help out. I was impressed
with the number of parents who were helping.
It was great to see all the volunteers. Our
friend and neighbor organized the party and
always does such a great job. She is fun!
Teagan loved all the "stations" but especially
liked the mummy he got to make and the
snacks. He is such a sweet little boy, we love
him so much!

After the party I headed home to get Savannah
all ready for her party at preschool.
She was very excited to go and I think she just
looks beautiful as Princess Aurora.

Pumpkin Carving

I love the month of October. I think
it's the change in the temperature. But I also
love to go get pumpkins as a family and carve
them. This year we waited until the day before
Halloween, because in the past, we carve them
a week early and by Halloween night the are
moldy and falling apart from the heat (sad, but
true). So, I carve off the top and clean and
then Tom (he's the details guy), makes the
face that each kid decides they want on their
pumpkin. It's so fun, the kids love it we all
have a good time.

Here is Savannah hugging her pumpkin and
berfore this picture she gave it a kiss and said
"I love you pumpkin"

Teagan and Savannah with their finished
pumpkins.

Teagan, Savannah and Caleb all very happy
with their pumpkins. Little Landon was
sleeping already, but he will get his turn next
year.

Birthday fun?

This is Savannah right before we opened her
presents and had cake....she had another fever
and after I gave her medicine she fell asleep
on my parents sofa. Poor sweetie....she
did manage to wake up to open some of
her presents....

Here she is...trying to look happy and well. She
is waiting patiently for her older brothers and
cousin to come see her open some presents.

She was really excited about this "Dr." set.

Here she is checking out the purse and lipgloss
set my parents gave her. Savannah we love you!
We are so glad you had a good birthday and glad
we celebrated at Chuck-e-cheese earlier in the
week when you weren't sick.

Happy Birthday Savannah!!

Today was Savannah's birthday. She is four
years old and a sweetheart! Unfortunately
she was running a 102 degree fever today.
This picture is after the medicine kicked in.
I just love this girl. She is sweet, thoughtful, fun
smart, and beautiful! She brings our family much
joy! I can't say enough how thankful I am to have
a little girl!

Here she is again, you can tell in her
eyes she doesn't feel well but she is
trying to be happy and give us a smile.

My parents had dinner and a birthday cake for
Savannah, Jeff and Sherry (Julie's Mom) at
their house tonight. It was a lot of fun.

Fun filled weekend

This weekend started on Thursday for me and
Tom. We celebrated our 11 year anniversary
a week early and enjoyed it very much!
We stayed in Scottsdale for a few days while my
parents watched the kids. We enjoyed taking
long walks in downtown Scottsdale, going to the
mall, watching movies and sleeping. Thanks
Mom and Dad for watching the kids, you are
awesome!!

We got home Saturday afternoon and rushed
off to Caleb's two football games. He is so much
fun to watch. His team and coaches are great!
Then we ended the evening with a great
Halloween party at our friends house - yes...
my hair is sprayed dark (you don't even want to
know how much fun it was getting it out of my hair). It was
a lot of fun and great to spend some time with
my wonderful husband. Tom thanks for being
so good to me, I love you, Happy Anniversary!

Celebrating Savannah's Birthday!

Today we went to Chuck-e-cheese
to celebrate Savannah's birthday.
She is so sweet. She asked me to
make her cake this year instead of
ordering one. So, this is what I came up
with. Nothing fancy, but let me tell you,
when she saw those sprinkles (she helped
me put them on), she was so excited and
when she saw the cinderella figures so was
even more excited. I love how something
so simple can make a child happy. I just
want to hang on to that moment. She just
gave me a big hug and smile and told me
how much she loves me.

This is Teagan, Porter (my nephew), Savannah
Caleb and Landon. They had a great time and
we were so glad that Travis and Porter could
join us.

Savannah on the slide, she picked out what she
wanted to wear to her party today.

Here are my sweet children, Teagan, Caleb
Landon and Savannah. They all had a great time.

My Quarterback

Caleb decided to play flag football this year. He
loves it! He and his good friend Tyler are the
quarterbacks. They both do such a great job.
I love that he has a good time.

Caleb making a pass. They have
plays that they "run" and I am
impressed that they all have
them memorized and do them
well.

VP Debate

Ok, did anyone else watch the VP debate last night? I thought it was pretty good. I don't normally get into that stuff. But, since the race seems to be one of the most important ones since I have been allowed to vote, I took the time to watch. Anyway, I was very happy with Governor Palin. I thought she did a wonderful job connecting with everyday people. She is so real, she could be my neighbor. I love it, it seems so different from what we are used to from Washington and it's a breath of fresh air.

My oldest and my youngest

Caleb (8) loves playing with Landon, chasing him
around and making him laugh. This is Landon
blowing me a kiss. Caleb was sitting in this chair
and Landon climbed up next to him. He likes to
do whatever the "big boys" are doing.

Caleb, Landon (19 mos) and tigger buddy!

These two look A Lot alike. When Caleb was
Landon's age, he looked very similar. However,
sometimes Landon looks like Teagan's old pictures.

Cuddling up to little brother, they call him
"little" or "little Lando". Landon is trying to be
silly and making faces at me.

Teagan's lizzardy

Teagan found this little guy in our front yard
on his way home from school last week. He
named him lizardy.

Teagan is so good at catching lizards.
Is quick and has fun taking care of
them. He was sad when we told him
we would have to let him go, he is so
little we thought he needed to find his
own food. So, that night when I went
to take him outside. I realized that I
had cleaned the kitchen (Teagan had
put him in a plastic cup). I felt so
bad because I was pretty sure he went
down the drain. I was in huge trouble
with Teagan. He was so mad at me.

The next day...I saw the little guy
crawling on our kitchen floor.
Nothing short of a miracle that he
didn't go down the drain or get
stepped on. (My eyes are trained
for creepy crawlies in my house).

Teagan was so happy when he came
home from school and I told him the
news. This is Teagan holding him.
He let him go after saying "goodbye".
